What's that? You didn't know rhythm games had merch? Well, they do. In PjD's case this is mostly in the form of preorder bonuses, but some games went as far as having custom consoles and controllers. This was only the first game though, so they had to start small. Some of the more notable items include an accessory set (which seems to be rare now), a series of trading straps (the now-defunct-because-flash site was actually the source for most of the images in this gallery on the Vocaloid wiki), a CD with all the commissioned songs and a now-lost interview with Hata Aki, a "MASTER BOOK" (featuring concept art and behind the scenes information), and a petit nendoroid as a preorder bonus (which later came with the Low-Price rerelease).

Preorder Rewards

Like most other PjD games, this game had a bajillion different preorder rewards. Which reward you got depended on which store you preordered at.

Original Song Collection

This was a short album featuring 13 tracks, all of which were commissioned for the game. The initial release came with a code to access an exclusive interview with Hata Aki on NicoNico, but it (or more rather, the page where you'd enter the code) expired October 21st of the same year (2009). The interview is now lost.

OSTER project and kz's contributions were shortened for the game. This album has the full-length version of OSTER project's, but not kz's. He would not release the full versions until the Tell Your World E.P. in 2012.

As for Toraboruta, rather than listing the Rin solos and Len solos of his contributions as separate tracks, instead they were edited as a duet.

MASTER BOOK

A 152-page book containing everything one would need to know about PjD1st. Also includes stickers for the PSP-3000.

Quick Facts

I scanned the book, which you can read on the Internet Archive. Please note that some pages are warped, and the pages are on the wrong sides (as in, pages that should be on the left side are on the right side, and vice versa). These scans are bad and I should feel bad.

Trading Straps

Cute chibi-fied rubber trading straps based on modules! Released from May 2010 through February 2012 in collaboration with HobbyStock Japan. Sold like blind bags (1 strap, 450 Yen)/blind boxes (10 straps, 4500 Yen - the Bonus Track was only a box for 5000 Yen). Think of them like gacha pulls.
